Good Ending Guide

The Good Ending in BLOODMONEY: Requiem comes down to one rule: reach $25,000 without ever buying the Scissors. Everything else in this guide is about making that slow, restrained route actually survivable to the end.

Which Tools Are Safe

Hands, the Feather, the Needle and the Hammer all keep the Good Ending open. You can mix and match freely between them — there is no requirement to stick to one tool for the whole run, only a requirement to never buy anything past the Hammer.

Why a Feather-Only Run Is Slow

At $2 per click, reaching $25,000 on the Feather alone takes roughly 12,500 clicks. That is the honest cost of the safest possible route, and it is why most players who commit to the Good Ending eventually buy the Needle or the Hammer instead of grinding the Feather the whole way. Idle-game and clicker veterans tend to adjust to this quickly, since the click-upgrade-click-faster rhythm is familiar even when the moral stakes attached to it aren't.

Players attempting a pure Feather clear have reported the run effectively forcing a Hammer purchase to stay reasonable — so plan around using the Needle and Hammer from the start instead of fighting to avoid every upgrade past the Feather.

Pacing the Run

Because none of the safe tools pay anywhere near what the Scissors or Match do, the Good Ending rewards patience more than optimization. A steady, even clicking pace gets you there without needing precise timing — this route has no equivalent of the Knife's quick-time prompt to worry about, since a Good Ending run never reaches the Knife at all. Some players queue up something to listen to for the length of the run, since the clicking itself doesn't demand close attention once you've settled on Needle and Hammer as your workhorse tools.

What to Avoid

The only real risk to a Good Ending run is habit: once the Hammer's $8 per click starts to feel slow, the Scissors' $16 per click looks like a natural next step, since it's presented in the shop the same way every tool before it was. It is not the same — it is the one purchase in the whole shop that cannot be undone for that run. If you are curious what happens on the other side of that choice, All Endings Explained and the Requiem Campaign Guide cover it without you having to spend $3,000 to find out firsthand.

A Note for Sensitive Players

The Good Ending is also the gentlest way to experience BLOODMONEY: Requiem's tone. The game does not soften its imagery as tools escalate past the Scissors, so if you're unsure whether the later content is something you want to see, playing the Feather-to-Hammer path first is a reasonable way to decide before committing further.

Does mixing Needle and Hammer purchases still count as a Good Ending run?

Yes. The only requirement is never buying anything past the Hammer — Hands, Feather, Needle and Hammer can be combined in any order or proportion.

Is there a time limit that forces a faster tool?

No time limit is reported by players attempting this route; the pressure is entirely self-imposed by how long a pure Feather-or-below run takes.

Reach $25,000 with nothing past the Hammer in your shop history, and Harvey waves goodbye — the only ending in BLOODMONEY: Requiem where the run costs you nothing but time.
