Controls
BLOODMONEY: Requiem runs entirely on the mouse. There is nothing to bind or configure — the control scheme takes about ten seconds to learn, and everything difficult about the game is judgment, not reflexes.
- Click Harvey Earns money at your current per-click rate. This is your only source of income in the game.
- Click the shop Opens the tool list and buys the selected upgrade. Every purchase is permanent for the run — see the Items & Shop Guide before spending on anything past the Hammer.
- Click dialogue prompts Advances text and selects answers. This matters most in the Requiem campaign, where your response to Harvey's question after the Scissors purchase branches the scene.
- Mash during the Knife confrontation The Knife purchase triggers a quick-time-style prompt rather than a simple buy animation. Players specifically warn against mashing here — a steady pace works better than rapid clicking.
Pacing Your Clicks
Outside of the Knife confrontation, fast and even clicking suits the general grind of the game — there's no penalty for clicking as quickly as you comfortably can while working toward $25,000. The one place that changes is the Knife scene specifically, where the quick-time behavior rewards a controlled pace over raw speed.
No Documented Key Binds
Guides and community discussion around BLOODMONEY: Requiem never mention keyboard shortcuts or alternate bindings — the mouse is the entire interface. If you're planning a long session, a comfortable mouse matters more than any setting inside the game itself, since there isn't a settings menu governing controls to speak of.
Because the controls are this minimal, everything in BLOODMONEY: Requiem that feels difficult — deciding whether to buy the Scissors, timing the Knife prompt, choosing whether to answer Harvey — lives entirely in what you choose to click, not in how well you can click it.
